Happy New Year

A new dawn, a new joy... and a new day!
Begin your quest now, in a new way!
Call your strengths, ‘cos happiness is here to stay...
Dance in the light, while the night is away!

Eagerly we waited for the darkness to fade...
For we respect the Heavens where destiny is made.
Great is the God, on this Earth Who has laid,
His Grace in disguise, with a tint and a shade...

In life, that’s how the Lord comes to bless...
Juggling the pains and gains – to make it a mess!
Kicking us hard, till the time we confess –
Lies, crimes and sins, and the hesitation to express...

Must we not, then, be thankful to Him?
Not just for the life which is not so dim!
O yes... for His radiance, filled up to the brim!
Present everywhere: in joy and sorrow, in song and hymn!

Quench your thirst, before you begin to play!
Rest not now, till every enemy you slay!
Sleep not anymore, like idols of clay!
The world calls you – come and have your say!

Under the sky, we all shall freely soar
Victory lies ahead, if we strive a little more
We must together go on to open every door
X-tract the power within our innermost core...

You are here now, so you shall definitely see...
“Zeal” is the name I give to the Inner Side of Me
You are here now, so you shall definitely see...
“Zeal” is the name I give to The Inner Side of Me....

I heartily welcome you all, and would like to thank you for the constant interest that you have shown in reading my blog. I shall always remain indebted to you for this... And now, we get to the point!

Well, Happy New Year first of all.

For those of you who read my previous blog (so as to say “previous” – it was exactly one year ago.)- that blog, as a matter of fact, was also called “Happy New Year”... and I wrote all sorts of good things in it that I, at that point of time, could think about. I also got a lot of beautiful comments on it, with a few pinching questions like, “When are you gonna update your blog, dude?” And I kept on replying... one day I will!

And look at this, the day has finally arrived...! Hehehe... You are laughing right now, aren’t you? Stop doing that, at least for those people who are reading me for the first time. Well, let me introduce myself formally. I am Palkesh Asawa.

Saying that won’t suffice, because I know there are so many Palkesh Asawas in the world (Palkesh is not a very common name though!). But because there is nothing else I can think of to aid my introduction, may be you could just believe I am one of those many Palkesh Asawas!

As far as the above poem is concerned, let me tell you that I wrote it myself. And I think it is very special for me in many ways. To begin with, it’s just a perfect poem that can be written to inaugurate my blog on this New Year day... because that is how it begins... A new Dawn, a new joy and a new day! It is very relevant in a number of other ways, and you shall realise it in times to come. But I would just like to share one speciality of the poem, in case you haven’t noticed that already -

Every sentence in the poem begins with a different alphabet in sequential order. That is to say, the first sentence begins with A, the second begins with B, the third with C, the fourth with D, and so on up to the twenty-sixth sentence that begins with Z. Scroll up and confirm that I am not lying. Go really, I am waiting for you... check this and get back here!

(I am waiting... go and see...)

So you saw? That is why I said the poem is very special and very close to my heart! So that is me... Palkesh Asawa at your command! Well friends, there is not much I would like to talk about in my first post, the only thing I wanted to check was that there are indeed some people who want to read my blog. Hello, is anybody there?

Thank you, now if you could just do me a favour. Please comment on this post, so that I can feel satisfied that somebody has seen this at least! If you don’t feel like commenting, just put a hyphen (-) so I can at least read your name!

And very soon, I am going to update my blog! But you don’t worry, you will be informed when that happens, and it will happen very soon. In my next post, I shall talk about the kind of issues that I might raise in my blog, so it is a must-read.

I would like to refer to the third last para in the poem (QRST), it says... The world calls you, come and have your say! You know what, I have always believed that expression is the key to living a good life. We must express our views and opinions, that shows the making of an individual... hope you get the essence... (Details in my next post!)

I would now leave you with these four lines (again written by me only). But before reading these lines, let me just remind you that you are supposed to put a comment on my post before leaving, okay! So here are the lines that I have written especially for you –

Don't you want to meet me, how are you my dear?
Have you not noticed, I have always been so near?
Feel from the depth of your heart – “Oh Yes, I’m here!”
Looking at you, smiling at you, and wishing you a Happy New Year!

Yours Forever,

Palkesh Asawa
