A Prayer and a Realisation!

Oh Lord... The Mightiest of all…!

In Your hands, lies my fate…

You are so wise, so high, and so tall!

Unaffected by love and hate!

When I lost, and nothing was left

You were there to my rescue

So now when I am left bereft

Of my peace; where are You?

Come, and be with me, Oh God!

Now is when I need You most!

To You, it may seem a bit odd

But I’m dying to be Your host…

I need You, ‘cos I am feeling sad

About all my deeds in the past

You are the hope, and I’m glad

To run with the hope till last…!

I know I’m not what You say

And don’t deserve to be Your part

But, just to tell you, if I may

I wish from the depth of my heart...

That You walk with me all way

And may I never walk apart

From the path that You would say…!

That I find – the peace of mind

I wish from the depth of my heart…

To have You – cos You’re so kind!

Where should I look for You…?

Tell me, where would we meet…?

Oh Lord; I just can’t live without You

I want to touch and kiss Your feet!

I look for You in the skies above

And in the warmth of my tears!

I look for You with care and love

In the scorching world of my fears!

I look for You in church and pray

In temples, mosques and every holy place

I wonder what, to You, should I say

About my crime and the gloomy face…?

But I didn’t have anything left to say

That in spite of my every sin

When I looked for You in my heart today

I found You here… within…!
